ECOPHONE

Ecophone, an environmentally responsible community service initiative designed to benefit us while simultaneously helping to alleviate the fast growing environmental problem of e-waste.  

Simply ask your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors to dust off their old cell phone, blackberries, laptop computer, digital cameras, etc. and give them to you. 

It is an opporttunity to donate things that are no longer of practical value (and yet will permit a tax deduction for a “donation in kind”!)  It’s that simple.  This will not only help the Hornets, it will benefit the environment and cut down on the clutter in your own home.  The best part is 100% of the proceeds from the recycling of these items will benefit the Hornets!  To see a current price list click here:  Ecophone Price List.

For starters, look around your own home.  Then ask friends, family and neighbors to do the same.  But don’t overlook your employer!

Other things to note:
1.                  Accessories such as chargers, cases, ear microphones, etc. are not accepted.
2.                  Many of the cell phones given to Ecophone are ultimately destroyed and recycled according to EPA guidelines.  This process effectively destroys all information stored in the cell phones.  In the event a cell phone is refurbished and resold for reuse each phone is 'flashed' (i.e. software unlocks each phone enabling it to be reprogrammed. This process wipes the phone's memory clean and enables a new number to be assigned.)
3.                  All donated laptops will have their hard drives removed and destroyed. 
4.                  Only lap tops are accepted (sorry, no desk tops or towers).
5.                  Please remove all passwords to laptops, blackberries or cell phones prior to donating.

The U-12 GirlsSenecaHornets are selling spirit decals.

You too can bragabout your kids and their accomplishments with spirit decals.  These stickers are easy to apply, offer complete personalization, and are available in many designs.

There are many options available: soccer, baseball, football, lacrosse and basketball. Also available are: dance, gymnastics, wrestling, volleyball, music, cheerleading, karate, tennis & swimming among others. 

The stickers are just $12 each or 3/$10 each!!!  Tax and shipping are included.
